I mentioned in my first post that I have recently opened an online retail shop. It is called Silver Artz and I sell gold, silver and fashion jewellery. I also a small range of unusual gifts. My shop is a long way off being completed but the items on show are all available for purchase.
The hosting site for my store is Auctiva Commerce, a lot of you have probably heard of Auctiva via Ebay. They have been hosting Ebay stores for some time and are a brilliant free photo hosting site. They have finally opened the doors to their own e-commerce business hosting.
It is all in the early stages yet and there are still many problems to iron out but hopefully, eventually, things will start to run smoothly and when they do all those who have signed up for the long haul are hoping for great things from this.

Hi Leslie at Silver Artz! Hurrah for your new auctiva commerce store and your informative blog! I am a fellow auctivacommerce.com newbie and also an ebay survivor. Yes, ebay is a giant octapus, powerful and controlling. Their tentacles of greed overpowered me and left me without much to speak of as a profit from either auctions or store, so I took a deep breath, wiggled free and escaped to Auctiva Commerce. There are now quite a few refugees from ebay here, and a wonderful helpful group they are! Yes, Auctiva Commerce is new, but we as a group have determination to make this work. If you find any snags, please let us know since we are new to this scene. The Auctiva Support Staff now has many helpers in different areas, so please deliver any problems/concerns to the sellers if you are a buyer, and to the team if you are a seller. There are thousands of us now in this arena I am told, and quite a wide offering of fine products are available, so Please give us a try!
